Rafael Pinto manages his own consulting work at Occasio International Advisory Services (Occasio), an innovative company that offers practical training solutions for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises, improves cross-cultural communication for professionals and companies, and collaborates with its international contacts in order to facilitate international trade, market-entry strategy, and internationalization processes for its clients. Before starting Occasio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rafael worked at the Young Americas Business Trust – an organization affiliated to the Organization of American States, and the International Finance Corporation – of the World Bank Group, in Washington, DC, USA. He also lived in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, and worked at the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic.

Rafael serves as a Strategic Advisor for the Young Americas Business Trust, which aims to promote social and economic development of young people around the world through programs of leadership, training, technology, and alliances. He is also one of the Directors at the LatAm Startups organization, which aims to strengthen business opportunities, networking, and linkages between the innovation, entrepreneurship, and Startup ecosystems in Latin America and Canada.
